Miss Wanganui is from Waverley!
Catherine Irving is Miss Wanganui 2009. Catherine entered Miss Wanganui 2009 because it was something positive for the district. She said: “I learnt that there is a lot of hard work that goes into it, and the competition  isn't just about looking glamorous. It was character building in all aspects and I take my hat off to the other girls who took the opportunity. I am so grateful for the title and am excited abut the adventures ahead. Thank you Waverley for being a great place with great people!"
